1. About Klipit

Klipit ("the Service") is a community clip contest platform operated at klipit.no and related tenant domains. The Service allows TikTok creators to participate in periodic contests by connecting their TikTok account, having their public video performance tracked, and being ranked on a public leaderboard based on total video views.

2. Eligibility

To participate in contests, you must connect both a TikTok account and a Discord account to the Service. You must be the owner of the accounts you connect. By connecting your accounts, you authorize the Service to access your public profile information and public video data as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. How the Service works

Administrators create contest periods with defined start and end dates. During an active contest period, the Service periodically fetches your public TikTok videos and their view counts. Only videos posted during the contest period are counted toward your leaderboard score. Your score is the total view count of all qualifying videos. Creators are ranked by score on a public leaderboard.

4. User responsibilities

  • You must comply with TikTok's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
  • You must not attempt to artificially inflate view counts or manipulate rankings.
  • You must not create multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage.
  • You must not use bots, purchased views, or any form of view manipulation.

5. Account suspension

Administrators reserve the right to suspend or ban any user account at their discretion, including but not limited to cases of suspected manipulation, violation of these terms, or violation of TikTok's Terms of Service. Banned users are excluded from leaderboard rankings.

6. Data collection

The Service collects and stores data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection, storage, and use of your data as described therein.

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Leaderboard rankings are based on data retrieved from the TikTok API and may not reflect real-time view counts. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data displayed. The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of reputation.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
